Crestone Mesa is one of Salida’s newest neighborhoods. It consists of 46 lots and is located off of Crestone Avenue within 2 miles of downtown Salida, just past the Salida golf course. There is a park in the middle of the neighborhood that will have a grassy area, a pavilion and a community garden; many of the lots face this park. All homes are served by city water and sewer, internet, cable, electric and natural gas. Building design guidelines are fairly loose, allowing for large, medium and small homes with a variety of architectural styles. Garages are accessed from alleys on the exterior of the subdivision. HOA fees in Crestone Mesa will be about $300/year. Several homes and duplexes are being built in and a few lots are still available for sale. There is also a paved bike path from the neighborhood heading into downtown Salida – so no excuse not to walk or bike to town (except that it’s kind of uphill on the way back).
