The Salida Mesa, or simply the Mesa, is one of the more desirable locations in Salida. This neighborhood is located on a low mesa with downtown Salida and the Arkansas river on one side and and the Salida golf course and Saguache mountains on the other. The streets are wide and tree lined and many of the homes were built in the early 1900’s. This Salida neighborhood is roughly formed by the Courthouse on the north-east,, Poncha Blvd on the south, Crestone Avenue on the north and the Salida Golf Course on the west. Most of the Mesa is zoned R-1, Low-Density Residential. Home prices tend to be higher than most neighborhoods in Salida, especially for remodeled homes and homes bordering the golf course.
